Being in New York always seems to make me want to eat Southern Food. First it was roast chicken and mashed potatoes; now I’m dreaming of Pimento Cheese, Pepper Jelly and Pulled Pork. I’m working on a signature Pimento Cheese recipe. I want one that will ooze deliciously from a grilled cheese sandwich but is thick enough to stay on a cracker when it’s spread.
Southern Style Pimento Cheese
- 8 oz Organic Sharp Cheddar Cheese (grated)
- 4 oz Pimento (chopped)
- 1/2 c Organic Mayonnaise
- 3 tsp Onion (finely grated)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
Mix first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir in shredded cheese.
